No Yapping!
If you have ever been around a small dog, you may have heard the term 'the Napoleon Complex', meaning they bark a lot to compensate for their small size.
Why people put up with allowing dog(s) to continue excessive barking is beyond us. A life with a dog should not be about hearing 'fluffy' bark non-stop, and yelling at the dog dozens of times per day just to be ignored. Sadly so many people have allowed this horrible annoying habit to continue, that people actually think this crazy is 'normal'.
Some barking is good. Barking to alert the family the Amazon guy is here, is good. Barking to alert the family of a potential danger, is also good. Barking while playing with the ball is good. Hours of non-stop barking for no reason at all, is irritating and can be corrected.
Our 'no yapping' service is a very specific board and train service we offer, to teach your dog "no" and to stop excessive barking. This service typically takes 7-10 days, but we like to keep the dogs for 14-21 days to make sure they are consistent with their new behavior. We know what it's like to miss your 4 legged child, so we teach them as quickly as possible, make sure they are consistent, then return them back to you. This also includes a brief training with the family to maintain the new behavior consistently.
This behavior modification is very time intensive and requires consistency that most dog owners simply fall short of doing. We teach this using positive reinforcement with minimal balanced training techniques added in.
The phrase, ‘freakin’ awesome miracle worker’ seems to be what we hear a lot.
You may love a yappy dog, but you will love him/her so much more once the yapping is gone!
